deutsche bank awards


The Deutsche Bank Awards programme was launched in 1993 and offers practical and financial support to freelance artists, craftspeople, designers and performers. The Student Enterprise & Employability (SEE) department now co-ordinates the fashion and photography awards on behalf of Deutsche Bank.

The Fashion and Photography Awards offer the successful applicant £10,000 funding and one year of business mentoring support. If you've got a great business idea or project, the Deutsche Bank Awards can help you turn your dream into reality.

WHO CAN APPLY?

The Awards are open to final year University of the Arts London students studying FdA, BA, MA or PGDip in a fashion & fashion accessories, jewellery and photography related subjects. To support the development of a product range or professional service or to support professional development by providing initial career funds for such costs as exhibitions, collections or publications. Students must have graduated in December 2011 or be graduating in June/July 2012. Candidates must be available to take up the award in July 2012.

KEY DATES & APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Business support workshop
Applicants can sign up for a one-day business support workshop at http://see.arts.ac.uk/events/viewevents/
(choose from 13 or 14 February)

2. One-to-one Business Advice
Applicants can get one-to-one advice with a business advisor on 6 or 7 March (choose one slot only). SEE offers additional one-to-one advice on 20 & 27 March (choose one slot only). To sign up, go to http://see.arts.ac.uk/advice

3. Application

4. Shortlisting
Proposals will be shortlisted in early-mid April and results will be announced via email by 20 April

5. Presentation Training
A one-day Presentation training workshop will be provided to shortlisted applicants on 25 April. Applicants can also get one-to-one advice on 02 May

6. Presentation to Judges
Fashion category: 16 May
Photography category: 23 May

7. Winners announced
Winners will be announced by 01 June

8. DB Awards Ceremony
An Awards ceremony will be held in July to celebrate the winners
